I am going to try posting more. I wanted to add a picture the last time I tried this but got an error message and gave up.

Anyway. So Saturday night I was called in to see a patient for the first time. I’m not really the on call doctor (I don’t get paid enough for that). But my boss was on the cape and called to ask if I was around and if I would be able to see the patient. It was a little pitiful when I told him that I was at target on a Saturday night buying a heated mattress pad and a body pillow. Ah, single life.

Wow. its been almost a year since my last post. part of the reason is because it was giving me an error message every time i went to use it but i didnt want to bother josh about it. but i asked loren about it and he fixed it for me. not sure if all the “authors” are still in here. ill have to figure that out.

i have a cavity! im very upset. it is on my wisdom tooth and the doctor wants me to have them taken out. i bargained with him though and he is letting me come in every 6 months for cleanings and will just watch me.

im in tampa at the american academy of optometry meeting and visiting with dick. its been fun. lots of good lectures, free stuff, social events. and tons of people come so i get to spend some time with classmates.

ill be coming home tomorrow. going to miss half of game 3 unfortunately. tried to get an early flight but it would cost too much. stupid southwest.

i was trying to ignore it, but the leaves on the trees are already turning. im excited for the fall and all, but i thought id have a little bit longer for pool parties and backyard bbqs. oh well.

thats right. i think i have a new boyfriend. smokey. he is always around when i get home. i talk to him about my day and ask him how his day has been. he comes to bed with me too.

hey, all. i have been doing well. i know ive never been the best about making frequent posts, but i feel like i have been slacking even more. i guess i was thinking “oh. now that im back i dont have to keep people up to date on what im doing”. but i now i guess i have a new group of people to keep up to date. you westies.

so i went camping and canoeing on the saco river in maine this weekend. its an annual thing with my friend mike, his family, and a group of our friends. this was the first year i went and it was a blast! not exactly what i was expecting, but fun anyway. i swear i thought i was in the middle of mtv spring break. just a ton of drunk 20 year olds. and they would wander over to our campsite, “saco! hey, man! hows it going? you got a beer funnel?” but i had earplugs for sleeping and a bunch of great friends around so all was well.

i will definitely be there next year.

oh kelly! i’m so sorry that sounds like it sucks hard. i totally put a picture of you and loren up as my background on my computer screen this morning. it makes me laugh so hard. i miss you so much! i hope things are going awesome. i think about you alot. you’re fabulous and i’m so proud of you! kiss. kiss. my dear feel better soon.

i have shingles. it blows. i had to spend $278 on antivirals. stupid student health insurance. i am going to submit for reimbursement and i should get it back, but it still sucks anyway.

on a happier note… i got paid yesterday! it was very exciting! but after the office visit, the medication and the application fee for my optometry license it will all be gone

i had my post op visit yesterday. he seemed very pleased with how well i am doing. and the nurse that removed my sutures said that people usually look a lot messier than i do. im anxious to start walking again, my leg is getting really weak (despite the physical therapy). i dont think my muscle tone will come back until i start walking.
