07/18/2001 Entry: "apple pickin!"
ok, so its like 99% that i am coming home for a weekend this fall so i can go apple pickin and loren can experiance a true new england autum. i have been looking at tickets using that aol thing mom showed me (its great! thanks mom!) and they have them for $212 departing wed night (oct 3) after work (so we will be there all day thurs, thurs night, fri, fri night, and most of saturday) and departing like 6pmish on saturday (oct 6). i checked the farmers almanac and it said foliage starts turning the last 2 weeks of september and is usually at its peak columbus day weekend (oct 8).
loren is at lunch, i sent him an email and when he gets back he will give me a yay or nay. as soon as he gives the yay i am buying the tickets. if he gives a nay i am still buying a ticket for me, unless he takes too long to give the nay and the price goes way up.
so, thats the deal, folks... start planning that apple pickin! i am really excited. i really miss fall, you dont even understand. i didnt realize it until i totally missed it last fall. no autum smell in the air. ok, so thats it, thats my news... donations accepted.

oh, youre just jealous! you really honestly should come too... just $212, apple pickin, pie bakin, babies... think about it, seriously... and act fast.

it sounds fabulous. that would really be fun. i can't take off that time from work though. tell me what your mom is talking about on aol. i'm curious. about the tickets... how DID you find them for so cheap?

Kelly, why can't you stay until Sunday. I found tickets for $214 leaving on Wednesday, October 3rd and going back on Sunday, October 7th. We would have time for another family night at the track. Heather, the airline ticket web site is http://aolsvc.travel.aol.com/travel/air/air0.jsp (the 0 is a zero ). I noticed there are tickets leaving San Diego and going to Manchester for $158. I bet your Mom would spring for that.

thanks mom, and loren already found thoes and bought them. i couldnt find any tickets with sunday for a return flight, but loren found em. so thats what we are doing (yes, both of us). leaving here wed night, getting there thursday morning, and leaving there sunday noonish. i will give you the specific details when i look em up.
