last night loren took me to a really nice vegetarian restaurant. upscale vegetarian dining. it was really weird knowing that i could have anything on the menu and i didnt have to ask "is this made with chicken stock?" so yeah, it was really nice cause i have been wanting to go there for a while. loren says it was to celebrate his raise and bonus, but i know he was really doing it for me. hes a sweetheart.
earlier in the day we took his new power kite out for its first fly. its one of those ones that you can do kite jumping (you jump and it pulls you up off the ground for a few seconds) and you can buy a buggy for it. so, yeah... i was looking forward to flying it, but after loren flew it he said he feared for my saftey cause he could barly keep it under control. he said it wasnt that he doubted my ability but he just didnt think i weighed enough to be able to keep it from dragging me across the field. so it kinda sucks, i didnt fly it, but i understand. it looked like fun, but loren swears its too much and he is considering trading it for a smaller one. he thinks he got in over his head and needs to work his way up to one that size.
i am coming to san deigo this weekend. hh, you are in charge of figuring out where i am staying (your house? deborahs house?)... i will get in late friday night.
